| Wow...It's been over a month sice my last entry! Well, here it
is. "The Monthly Daver" I better be thorough since you may
not hear from me in a while. Since I last talked to you, I have
had a few more responsibilities added to my plate which does mean that
my plate full and running over...but it sure beats eating candy and
playing video games. I have just returned from a sight planning
trip from Jamaica. It was a fabulous trip and I can't wait to
show you some pictures. Jamaica is one of the most evangelized
places in the world, but within that statistic is a group of people
that are often forgotten...Deaf children. The CCCD (Carabean
Christian Center for the Deaf) is a fabulous ministry that is really
trying to meet this need that is present in Jamaica. There are
more deaf people on the island of Jamaica than anywhere else in the
world. Without the CCCD, they would not get the education,
healthcare , and love they need to survive. I'll try to get the
pictures up later today. I am taking advatage of many speking
opportunities that are being put in front of me. Praise the Lord
for the chance to preach! Still meeting some wonderful people at
our new Church and city. I love the fall weather. I have
truly missed the seasons. Be blessed...Give each other a hug and
pretend it's from me!

| Hello Everyone,
Yes, I am alive. It has been a very busy 2 weeks. I'm still
getting used to this whole web diary thing. So much has happened,
I don't even know where to start. Staff planning retreat, family
and friends visiting from out of town and the regular work load mixed
in with a few not so regular items that tend to make life more
interesting. I will be speaking at Dayton Christian School
tomorrow in Chapel. Pray for me. Now I'm wondering if I can
still connect with High Schoolers? Stay tuned. Anyone who
listens to the Braveheart soundtrack can't be all that bad. By
the way...Thank you Matt for the CD...I love it...FREEDOM!
Give each other a big hug and pretend it's me,
David

| Today is my beatiful Bride's birthday. E-mail her and tell her
how hot she looks to be just 23. She will love you forever.
Her Xanga address is MBlovesDavid. My
Dad turned 74 yesterday (He was in his 50's when he had me) They
are actually traveling here to Dayton today. My prayers are with
him and Mom as they travel. We will have a big party tonight and
celebrate the blessings that God has given us. I am so thankful
for my family. I deserve nothing...God is great! Amen

| Hello Friends,
I hope everyone is doing well today. I am learning so much.
I'm really trying to pay as close attention as I can to what's
happening around me. I'm watchin you like a hawk! Good word
from Titus this morning. One thing for sure...much is said about
leadership and the way we are supposed to treat people. It's all
about how we opperate in community that counts. I don't care how
ya shake it down, it all comes back to community. I'm being
challenged to do a better job of connecting and serving. Speaking
of connecting, Bethany and Luke seem to be doing a good job at this at
school. Sounds like Luke had a good time at his first soccer
practice last night (or pra-fiss as he calls it) AWANA starts
tonight. The kids are stoked! Love Y'all...Give each other
a hug...pretend it's from the Daver!

| We watched Elf this weekend and
laughed our candy canes off. Very funny movie that got us ready
for Christmas a little earlier than expected. I also just started
reading another book entitled, Don't Waste Your Life
by John Piper. I just realized that it could be interpreted that
watching Elf could be considered a complete waste of your time. I
think John Piper would agree with me that this kind of Family time is
pleasing to God. Be blessed and give each other a hug and pretend
it's from me!
